Grand fir is native to coastal northern California and north to British Columbia. It will be a huge tree in the wild..up to 300ft, but less in cultivated landscapes. The cones, as with all firs, emerge at the top of the tree in the early summer and disintegrate in place at the end of the season.
Three other fir species are growing in Larkspur, Noble fir and Spanish fir and Caucasian fir (maybe Caucasian fir....species uncertain).
